This page was created at the request of a reader who wanted to get something useful out of my blog other than my insightful and profound philosophical musings and other assorted BS. I first posted the hours back in April 2012 with the caveat that I’d only update them if I felt like it. Well, I didn’t feel like it but one of you readers did. As you can see below, I got a comment from Bob which contained the meal hours for every DFAC. Thanks for making me look like a sloth, Bob. So, here are the DFAC meal hours, updated 19 October 2012:

might want to add the mealcard madness…no mealcard and you’re stuck eating at Niagara. LOAs dont do the trick anymore. Also, if you don’t have the right colored stripe (not sure what color that is) on your mealcard there’s no to go plates for you my friend. wouldn’t want you taking out hordes of rice to feed the LBGs 🙂
Like it. But what is to eat , do they have to pay
only active duty mil can get to-go trays…(maybe gov workers) but if your meal card is purple (which changed from the blue stripe) you have to eat there…unless u quickly scan your meal card in the to-go machine. They sure as hell don’t pay attention sometimes(hint hint).
FYI: The Lux is now closed down
I just stumbled onto this blog….. so forgive me if it’s already been discussed…. is the food decent? or at least edible? are fresh veggies and fruit available?
I’ve eaten at all except Cambridge and NLF. dont even know if they are still in existence. Lux is no more. the food isnt too bad. some Dfac are better than others. im still alive so that tells u something. lol
Far East isn’t bad, but curry can get real old real quick. Yea, I didn’t even notice the LUX closed down til about a week ago. North line and Niagara are the 2 I prefer right now because their food actually varies occasionally and Niagara’s midnight chow is a godsend. And between Monti and Indi, I much prefer Indi. It just suck’s when it comes time to turn in your meal card, especially if you live off take-out like me. I actually don’t know if Cambrige still exists or not. I think it may have shut down too. Crap…was that the one by where finance was or by the iphone store? Actually…yeah I think theyre both gone.
Never liked Far East – their curry sucked and so did the fried rice – I cook better than the cooks there – everything there was so hot ! STFD…
Niagara – good on Tues/Thurs/Sat with their big hamburgers !!! Lunch time only… Good on breakfast everyday ! Other than that its ok…
Cambridge – Good for British food (fish & chips) or curry (again)…

NLF the Niagara and the far east are the only ones open anymore
Northline is closed too? That’s gotta suck for the guys operating on the north side of the airfield (if anyone is still doing that). Before North LIne opened we had to commute 20 minutes just to get lunch.
